  • Sophomore middle blocker, Abigail E. Raven, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) volleyball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending September 8, 2024.

  • The Jefferson County Board of Legislators has appointed Maureen Aiken, Dexter, to a seven-year term on the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Board of Trustees, effective August 5, 2024. Aiken, an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher at the Watertown City School District (WCSD), brings over two decades of teaching experience to the Board. Aiken's appointment fills the expired term of Pamela S. Beyor-Murtha.

  • Freshman forward, Samantha Stokely of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women's soccer team, and sophomore midfielder, Tim Schaefer, of the JCC men's soccer team, were named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 3 players of the week and JCC co-athletes of the week for the week ending September 1, 2024.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) is pleased to announce the start of its fall precertification allied health training programs. JCC's medical billing and coding, phlebotomy technician, clinical medical assistant, dental assisting, and pharmacy technician training programs will begin in September. Most classes are scheduled conveniently twice a week in the evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and will be held on the JCC campus, at the Lewis County JCC Education Center in Lowville, and at Fort Drum. Registration is currently ongoing

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) is adding Addiction Treatment Training Level 1 to its microcreential offerings. The Addiction Treatment Training Level 1 microcredential is the first in a series of three trainings required to become a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). Classes begin August 26, 2024, and registration is ongoing.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) and The CDL School is offering a 5-week CDL Class A training again in Lowville at the Lewis County JCC Education Center. Training runs Monday through Friday, September 23, 2024 to October 18, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to take the Department of Transportation (DOT) CDL Class A license exam. Deadline to register is September 13, 2024. Individuals must be a minimum of 21 years of age to enroll.
