Omar A. Gonzalez Sanchez, Fort Drum, is the featured Jefferson Community College (JCC) Honors Program student for the month of September 2022. Sanchez is a business major at JCC.

On August 11, 2022, Jefferson Community College (JCC) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil its new esports arena. Members of the campus community, special guests and students joined administration to celebrate the addition of esports to the College's athletic roster. Esports is sanctioned by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

The nursing program simulation lab at JCC has two new additions - Nursing Anne and a birthing mom. The simulation equipment was purchased with $100,000 in grant funding from the State and Municipal (SAM) Facilities Program of the Dormitory Authority of the State University of New York (DASNY). The DASNY funding was secured for Jefferson by NYS Senator Patty Ritchie, District 48, to expand the College's capacity for hands-on simulation training and consequently increase enrollment capacity in the program that prepares students to become registered nurses (RNs).

Jefferson Community College (JCC) held its annual Pinning Ceremony for graduates of the College's nursing program on May 19, 2022 in the College's Sturtz Theater. Thirty-four (34) candidates for the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in nursing were eligible to take part in this special program.

Jefferson Community College (JCC) Workforce Development offers education and training to meet specific business needs, and offers industry-specific training to help individuals launch a career or build skills and confidence to excel in their existing career. Military spouses may use MyCAA (Military Spouse Career Advancement Account) funding to register for a workshop. Funding is available for some workshops.

Jefferson Community College (JCC) is pleased to announce it has been selected as one of only four community colleges in NYS to join the Artificial Intelligence Incubator Network (AIIN), an initiative launched in January 2022 by American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), Intel and Dell Technologies.
