  • Spring 2021 full-semester classes started in January at Jefferson Community College, but late session (8-week) classes that begin March 22, 2021 are forming now. Registration is open and prospective students are urged to act now.

  • Madison A. Neukirch, Adams Center, is the featured Jefferson Community College Honors Program student for the month of February 2021. Neukirch is a natural sciences major with a concentration in physical science at Jefferson.

  • Jefferson County Board of Legislators has appointed Damon Draught, Watertown, and Cindy F. Intschert, Sackets Harbor, to the JCC Board of Trustees, effective December 3, 2020. Draught's appointment fills the unexpired term of Lisa A. Weber through June 30, 2021. Intschert's appointment fills the unexpired term of Eugene R. Renzi through June 30, 2026.

  • JCC is pleased to announce Joel F. LaLone, Distinguished Professor and Research Director of the Center for Community Studies, will conduct his spring 2021 sabbatical as a visiting scholar at Syracuse University to contribute to data collection research of a newly developed wastewater surveillance and detection system that correlates to the coronavirus.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) student Rodman A. Marte, Manhattan, is the recipient of the 2020 Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for Student Excellence. Administered by the Chancellor of the State University of New York (SUNY), the Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for Excellence recognizes outstanding Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students for their academic excellence and strength in overcoming significant personal obstacles.
